Official Launch – Secretariat DMDI Singapore
Majlis Pusat will be signing an agreement with Jamiyah Singapore to form and lead “The Singapore Secretariat of the “The Malay & Islamic World Orgnaisation” (“Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam” or DMDI). The signing ceremony will be witnessed by Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam, President of DMDI, who is also the Chief Minister Minister of Melaka.
DMDI was formed in October 2000, with the objective of uniting Malay Muslim communities and disapora around the world. DMDI provides an annual platform for these communities to meet and discuss issues of common interests such as in the field of culture, language, social, education, economy, science and technology. DMDI has representations from 13 member countries which include Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, South Africa, Australia, United Kingdom, China and Singapore. Singapore is represented by Majlis Pusat and Jamiyah.
